Project description
SRA Costruzioni worked on safety and fire protection upgrades to ceilings and suspended ceilings at the “Duca degli Abruzzi” Science High School in Gorizia.
The works involved restoring and renovating existing ceilings, installing ceiling collapse prevention systems, suspended ceilings and technical fire protection solutions.
The project required specialist works, with particular attention to school safety and compliance with the technical design requirements.
Main activities
- Demolition and removal of existing ceilings and suspended ceilings.
- Installation of floor slab ceiling collapse prevention systems.
- Installation of composite mesh and reinforcement systems.
- Installation of plasterboard suspended ceilings, including fire resistant systems.
- Installation of metal support structures for suspended ceilings.
- Installation of modular suspended ceilings with mineral fibre panels.
- Application of intumescent protection systems.
- Provision of hatches and access for inspection and maintenance.
- Associated restoration and finishing works.
